Hello!

To solve for a variable, you must isolate that variable on one side of the equation. We’ll begin by restating the original equation:

10 – 2m = 20

Now subtract 10 from both sides of the equation:

(-2)m = 10

Divide both sides by (-2):

m = (-5)

We have now proven that M is equal to (-5).

I hope this helps!
