There are 100 cm in a meter so 700 cm is 7 meters.

Note that [tex] 100\;cm=1\;m [/tex]. So we can convert [tex] 700\;cm [/tex] to equivalent meters as follows:

[tex] 700\;cm=700\;cm *(\frac{1\;m}{100\;cm})\\
700\;cm=\frac{700}{100} \;m\\
700\;cm=7 \;m [/tex]
