pH scale is used to determine how acidic or basic a solution is
pH can be calculated using the H⁺ ion concentration 
pH = - log [H⁺]
and if pH is known we can find out the H⁺ ion concentration 
[H⁺] = antilog(-pH)
[H⁺] = antilog(-8.95)
[H⁺] = 1.122 x 10⁻⁹ M
therefore hydrogen ion concentration is 1.122 x 10⁻⁹ M
