how do I solve 12=3 (2x-10)+6

Subtract 6 from both sides and you get 6=3(2x−10)

Divide both sides by 3 and you get ​6/​​3​​=2x−10 and 6/3=2 so 2=2x−10

then add 10 to both sides    2+10=2x and you get 12=2x divide by 2  

x=6 then check your answer and you get 12=12

1. switch sides

3(2x-10)+6=12

2.subtract 6 from both sides

3(2x-10)+6-6=12-6

3. simplfy

3(2x-10)=6

4. divide both sides by 3

3(2x-10)/3=6/3

5. simpfly

2x-10=2

6. add 10 to both sides

2x-10+10=2+10

7 simpfly

2x=12

Answer=6
