Hello there,

The fraction: 1 8/9

For improper fractions you will have to multiply the denominator by whole number and add the numerator...

9 * 1 = 9

9 + 8 = 17

Now write that in fraction form...

The denominator stays the same...

17/9.

Hope I helped!!
