Switch up the equation by subtracting.

       9-(8*n)=0

Solve  :    -8n+9 = 0

Subtract  9  from both sides of the equation :

                     -8n = -9

Multiply both sides of the equation by (-1) :  8n = 9

Divide both sides of the equation by 8:

                    n = 9/8 = 1.125

Subtract 9 from both sides

9=8n
-9 -9

So the 9 cancels itself out

Then do 8-9=-1

-1n

Then -1/-1 to cancel out the -1 and get the n alone

n=1 or leave it as -1/-1
