The answer is A.

(a-1)(a-2)

a * a= a^2
a * -2= -2a
a * -1 = -1a = a
-1 * -2 = 2 because two negative signs make a positive.

Put them together:

a^2 - 2a - a + 2
= a^2 - 3a +2
