Stephen Hawking recently stated that, contrary to long held belief, black holes do not destroy everything that falls into them, as previously believed. Given Hawking’s credentials as a theoretical physicist and expert in astronomy, it must be the case that at least some of what enters a black hole continues to exist.
When a charged particle is sucked into a black hole, its information leaves a trail, an impression behind. The information would be outside, not inside the hole.
