S = x/t ................................... Equation 1

making x the subject of the equation

x = St .................................. Equation 2

Where S = sample rate ( samples per seconds), x = signal (samples), t = time ( seconds)

Given: S = 8000 samples, t = 2 seconds.

Substituting these values into equation Equation 2

x = 8000×2

x = 16000 samples.

Thus the signal x[n] = 16000 samples
