Can someone explain slope? And how to find it?

you find slope by having two coordinates okay, for example the two could be ( 1,3 ) & (2,4) theres a x1, y1 which 1 is x1 and y1 is 3. and there’s x2 and y2 where x2 is 2 & y2 is 4. and now you use this equation m= y2-y1 / x2-x1 where m means slope. and there’s your answer. so for the example i put the answer would be 1. because 4-3 = 1 over 2-1 = 1. so that’s 1 over 1. which is just one. please tell me if this explanation helped!
