adaptations are the development of new characteristics that improve the survival and fitness of an organism. these adaptations comes from either mutation or recombination.

those organisms which have adapted can better survive and compete with the other members of population. in case of any disastrous change only those survive which have been adapted all others will die. these adaptation increase their struggle for existence.
