the simile is ‘the softball clanged like a bell’ i believe and it means the softball hit something hard and made a loud sound i think - sorry if that it’s wrong. and the metaphor is ‘she was a cheetah’ i think (i’m not too sure with this one) but if it is it is basically implying she is fast at running :) hope this helps :)
