Superposition is just addition of waves.
It's based on idea that 2 or more waves can pass though same point at the same time.
Superposition can be constructive and destructive.

Destructive is when waves are overlapping each other and cancel in some way.

Constructive superposition is when waves added to each other in a way that net wave is bigger (louder, has higher frequency, magnitude) than each separated.
