Respuesta :

Upendo

Let Sears batteries be S

and Firestone be F

Sales;

S = 6F

S - F = 250,000 batteries.

S = 250,000 + F

equate the 2 eqns,

250,000 + F = 6F

250,000 = 5F

F = 50,000 batteries.

then,

S = 6 * 50,000

S = 300,000 batteries.

Each sold 300,000 batteries for Sears Roebuck and 50,000 batteries for Firestone.

The amount of batteries sold by firestone is 50000, the amount sold by Sears is 300000.

How to solve for the differences in the sales of battery

we have 6X = number sold by Roebuck

X = number sold by Firesone

Then we have 6x - x = 5x

5x = 250,000

x = 250000/5

= 50000 this is the amount sold by Firestone

the amount sold by sear would be

6x = 6 * 50000

= 300000
