Personal choice he can either go to protect the country and risk his life or serve as a normal job person and live his life in peace.
If the person has eldery or diasabled siblings parents he must not got to serve for the country cause there won't be anyone to look after them.
And then the same question rises then who will protect the country?
There are so many people who would love to volunteer in protecting the country and his option won't affect the whole army.
But then again It's his own life and he can choose whatever he wants
