Answer:

L - 10 . W - 5

Step-by-step explanation:

Length = 3*width - 5

area = length * width

50 = (3w-5)* w

50 = 3w^2-5w

0 = 3w^2 - 5w -50

0= (3w+10)(w-5)

w = 5 , w can't equal -10/3 because width can't be negative

width is 5

Length = 3 * 5 - 5

Length = 10 , width = 5

Answer:

first lets say w is the width

50(area)=w(idth)+3(w-5)

50=w+3w+15

50=4w+15

35=4w

8.75=w

w equals 8 3/4

Hope This Helps!!!
