there’s two ways to solve this.

Way one : split the Garden into two rectangles . Find the area of the two rectangle and Add them
First rectangle 5x3 = 15
Second triangle (6-3)x2 = 6
15+6= 21
The Area for the Garden is 21

Way two find the area of the whole Garden And subtract with patio
Backyard: 5x6= 30
Patio : 3x3= 9
30-9=21
The area of the garden is 21
