2. v=velocity. d=displacement. t=time. a=acceleration

d=vt+(1/2)at^2

d=0*5+(1/2)(-3)(5)^2   ==> car was at rest before accelerating

d=0+(1/2)(-3)(25)

d=(1/2)(-75)

d=-37.5 meters
