we get that the volume of each object is

[tex]\begin{gathered} V_{\text{box}}=13^3=2197 \\ V_{\text{ball}}=\frac{4}{3}\cdot\pi\cdot(5.5)^3\approx696.90997032\approx697 \end{gathered}[/tex]

so the reamining space is:

[tex]2197-697=1500[/tex]
