Due to the effects of xenophobia, people will feel they are not able to just 'walk around freely' without receiving xenophobic words towards their being. To them, it may feel the ability to associate into the society has been compromised due to how 'different' they may feel after such experience. It may also become a psychological thing, questioning why they're being treated as such as well as whether or not they're a human to themselves.
