Why would Mexican culture would have been different today if the Spanish had not conquered the region in the 1500s?

If the a Spanish never came then the Aztecs would still be in rule, then NAFTA would never exists & mexico wouldn't have the traditions it has now. That statement is accurate because if the Spanish never came the would be different. They would never celebrate Christmas or any other religious holidays, and they would never had the "shaped" culture as they do now. It just wouldn't happen.
