A float plan is a detail schedule of the journey you plan to make with your vessel; it records the place you are going and the duration you will be gone. A typical float plan contain the following information: name, address and phone number of the person in charge of the trip, name, address and phone numbers of all the people who will be abroad the vessel, emergency contacts, medical conditions, detailed information about the vessel, types of communication and signal equipment in the vessel, etc.
