3x + 3 - x + (-7) > 6

Simplify.

3x + 3 - x - 7 > 6

Add like terms.

(3x - x) + (3 - 7) > 6

Simplify.

2x - 4 > 6

Now, we're essentially trying to get "x" by itself.

So, we must add 4 to both sides.

2x > 6 + 4

Simplify.

2x > 10

Divide both sides by 2.

x > 5
