I believe it would be evolve. Looking into the past up to the present can show us now how people have changed their way of living from then to now. For example, electricity. Before it was invented many people would write letters or work in mills late at night only in candle light. Once electricity was created, many homes could works for longer in the dark and it lowered the risk of fires.
