There are 10 mm in one cm, so we multiply by 10. 6 cm * 10 mm per cm=60 mm.

centi means 100
mili means 1000
this case it means 1/100 and 1/1000 so it takes 10 mm to make 1 cm and 1 cm=10 mm so
6 cm=6 times 10mm=60mm
