First, expand to get rid of parentheses.
[tex]15y + 18 - 4[/tex]
Second, leave the 15y be and subtract 18 - 4 to get 14.
[tex]15y + 14[/tex]

Answer: 15y + 14

First distribute the 3 into (5y+6)
Using order of operations PEDMAS
3 x 5y and 3x6
15y + 18-4
Now substract
15y+14
