Explain how pH, temperature, and heavy metals (ie: Na+, Mg++,K++) affect enzyme activity

Enzymes work best within a certain range of temperature and pH, so extreme temperatures and pH along with heavy metals will denature enzymes which change its shape and will inhibit the function of the enzyme.
